PPD (para-phenylenediamine, or p-phenylenediamine) is bad news.

PPD can cause exposure allergies, and it is singled out by Prof. Mokbel, breast cancer surgeon and researcher, as a key ingredient to avoid in hair color.

Our entire color range is 100% free from PPD.

Exposure allergies are allergies which develop over time, due to regular exposure to the allergen.

They can occur in anyone who is exposed to the allergen. They cause a contact dermatitis with symptoms appearing in the areas of skin which are exposed to the ingredient.

PPD allergy symptoms include:

• itchy dry rash and irritable skin on the scalp, eyelids, forehead, neck, ears
• more severe reactions will cause swelling and blistering in the affected areas.

That is why our entire color range is completely PPD-free. We have also eliminated Ammonia, Parabens, Phthalates, SLS, Titanium Dioxide and Gluten from our color formula, and added Argan oil, Aloe Vera and Ginseng Root extract.

Our “no-itch” color formula is suitable for people with sensitive skin and will help keep you and your hair healthy.
